![]() ![]() I'm pleased about that as it's running legacy software. Then it ran and now it works, I can see my iPhone X with iSO 15.6, phew, thanks lots for the tips guys. But now iTunes is sitting in my dock, inactive, like 20 minutes later, and it won't open "because it is being updated".Īfter a while I decided to start over - started the downloaded iTunes installer again - at first it said waiting for an installation to complete. It took a long long time to download - then offerer to install if iTunes was quit (obviously). And as discussed here that’s just an iTunes update. The link for iTunes 12.8.3 has expired but I did find it here - it does seem to install OK, so I plugged in my iPhone X with iOS 15 and sure enough up popped a notice that software needed to be updated. I’ve now got access to an iphone for a while so I’ll probably jump between all three os’s over the next few months once things quieten down and I have some free time.Click to expand.2022/7 update, yeah I'm still running High Sierra, I'm a long long way from being a serial updater. I went to use it yesterday and found it’s been replaced with a new version that’s clearly not ready yet. It had the same issues as the android client but I could do the start up and data reload while docked at work and then take the tablet to lunch with me. I had been using the html5 client on a win8 tablet until a week or so ago. I’ll try to make time to do some skittering out and about on the phone to confirm that the stability is sorted and see how it does on 3g but things are a bit hectic at the moment so it might take me a while. I also haven’t had any stability issues though I really haven’t spent long enough on it to put it to proper test. It now seems to be starting up in quite acceptable time. Having said that, the 8 minute start up from the other day hasn’t been repeated on a number of restarts since. Things were so slow to start up on WiFi that I didn’t see the point trying it on 3g. ![]()
